Event description

Description

Eric Sherman was a producer, director, consultant and an educator at the Art Center College of Design (for 38 years) in Pasadena, whose filmography encompasses everything from jazz documentary to indie drama to an appearance in Orson Welles’ THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND. Join us for food, music and remembrances from family and colleagues as we celebrate the life and career of this longtime friend of the American Cinematheque.

The memorial is hosted by Eric's family. Please email Genie Dillard, celestine.ebd@gmail.com with any questions.

Reception begins at 2:00 PM in the Egyptian courtyard, followed by a tribute in the theatre at 2:45 PM.

Please don’t share this on social media, but if you know friends, students or colleagues of Eric’s who should know, please invite them and let Genie know! We don’t have contact info for everyone and want to include his friends.

PARKING DETAILS HERE. In general, there are parking lots on Selma Avenue (between Sunset & Hollywood Boulevard), behind the Egyptian Theatre. They range from $10-15. The Red Line stop is Hollywood & Highland and is a five minute walk to the theatre.
