CORE Mental Health's Annual Meeting
Equity Centered Leadership: Countering Structural Racism within Organizations
Come join us for a day of learning and collaboration at The Foundry! Our annual meeting focuses on equity-centered leadership in mental health. This event will build off of last year’s annual meeting, where we celebrated the launch of our case study and held a panel discussion on how organizations can better support the work of Black mental health providers.
Providers of color themselves often end up tasked with advising their (predominantly White) organizations on advancing racial justice as employers and within their communities. In recognition of that additional burden, this year, we are hosting another panel discussion made up of local organizational leaders who identify as White to share their challenges and successes in creating spaces that advance this work.
We will also have dedicated time for small group discussions and networking. This annual meeting will be a vulnerable learning space for us to engage in thoughtful discussion together about how leaders in general, and specifically White leaders, can advance equity and counter structural racism within their organizations.
While this is an opportunity to hear from White panelists, we welcome everyone to this conversation and the event is open to all.
The annual meeting will run from 9:30am to 12:45pm, followed by lunch until 2PM for those who wish to stay.
