This is a one-day hands-on course with horses covering: what your vet needs to know when you call, conditioning a horse to accept treatment, taking proper vital signs, dealing with lacerations, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, casting, shock, hoof issues, recognizing pain in the horse, sources of pain and alleviation, spinal health, injury prevention and so much more! Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, this course is suitable for all levels of expertise.

We will be in a heated classroom area as well as an unheated indoor arena. Come prepared to be outdoors as well as in. You will also have hands on periods with horses. You should have on close toed shoes.
