About this event

The winter "Evening with EPM" networking event will be an opportunity for EPM students to engage with professionals in the environmental policy field. All attendees will be entered for a chance to win EPM merch and a $50 gift card!

Location: ARC Ballroom, UC Davis.

Parking is available in Lot 25. The visitor parking rate is $15 and can be purchased through the ParkMobile app or permit machines.

Catered beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be provided.

Students, please arrive professionally presentable. To prepare for this event, you are encouraged to attend the Networking Workshop on Wednesday, February 15th 12:00 pm- 1:00 pm in the IE Barn. This workshop will provide best practices for networking and breakout sessions to practice professional skills.

Erin Rodriguez (Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs, CalRecycle). Erin Rodriguez received a B.A. in Government in 2014 from Sac State and more recently, a M.S. from UC Davis' EPM program in 2022. Erin developed an interest in waste reduction management and regulatory processes which led her to work at CalEPA, CalRecycle as a legislative analyst. She was a Legislative Analyst at CalRecycle in 2018, a Legislative Aide for California State Assemblymember Susan Talamantes Eggman from 2016 to 2018, and a Field Director for Jim Costa for Congress in 2016. Erin Rodriguez was also a California Policy Advocate at the Union of Concerned Scientists from 2019 to 2022, a Legislative Aide for California State Assemblymember Henry T. Perea in 2015 and a Political and Legislative Assistant for Blanning and Baker Associates in 2015. Erin is interested in improving her scientific and technical expertise in order to make her a better advocate to solve some of our planet’s most pressing problems related to climate change, transportation and energy policy.
