Do you ask questions about the environment at work with students, colleagues, or collaborators? Do you talk about environmental concerns with young folks in your neighborhood or in your home? Do you make artworks about the environment? Or anything related to these questions? Yes, you are!

Is this venue accessible?

Accepted Answer

Las Parcelas Garden is an outdoor space with multiple ground terrains ranging from brick, mulch, and gravel. The garden does have an ADA accessible entrance. The restroom in the gardens is an ADA portable toilet, but the terrain to enter the restroom is grass with no sidewalk ramp.

Question 3

Will there be childcare? Or can children attend?

We are working out the details of childcare still, but until then, children are more than welcome to join their parent or guardian.

Question 4

Will there be food?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it wouldn't be an NSNP event without free food for everyone. We will offer both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

Question 5

Should I bring anything with me?

Accepted Answer

Just bringing yourself is enough! If you feel inclined to bring a journal to take notes during workshops, go right ahead. We will note this is an outdoor event, so if you get cold or are worried about bugs, dress for what is comfortable for you!

I'm not in Philly, may I still join?

Yes, you are an environmental educator! If connecting with Philadelphian educators or workshops would be beneficial to you, please feel free to join.

Question 7

Where can I park or what is the closest SEPTA train or bus stop?

Accepted Answer

There is free street parking along Susquehanna Ave, Dauphin Ave, and 2nd St. These are the closest streets to the venue, but any other nearby streets have free street parking. The nearest train stop is the York-Dauphin station. The 57 bus American & Dauphin stop and the 39/89 bus Dauphin & Hancock.
