From Baltimore to orbit: Learn how Andrew Parlock is building the “FedEx of space” and leading the future of entrepreneurship.

Event Description:

What does it take to lead a venture — not just on Earth, but in space?

The space economy is exploding with opportunity, and it’s not just for astronauts or billionaires — it’s for entrepreneurs, innovators, and students ready to think bigger.

Join us for a ThinkUBator Guest Speaker Session with Andrew J. Parlock, Founder & CEO of Space Phoenix Systems, a Baltimore-based startup pioneering reusable spacecraft and rapid-return missions. Andrew is building what he calls the “FedEx of space” — creating the logistics backbone to make access to orbit as routine and reliable as package delivery on Earth.

For students, this is more than a talk about rockets. It’s about entrepreneurial leadership: turning bold ideas into real ventures, solving problems no one else has cracked, and proving that even from Baltimore, you can help shape the future of the global economy.

In this session, Andrew will share:

  • How he turned 25+ years in the space industry into launching his own venture
  • Why Baltimore is a surprising launchpad for the next wave of entrepreneurs
  • What leadership lessons from space startups can teach you about building bold ideas right here on campus
