Ensemble Sangineto

Ensemble Sangineto is an eclectic band which skillfully blends ancient harmonies and sonorities with modern rhythms. Founded by the Sangineto twins, Caterina and Adriano, whose father is respected Italian luthier Michele Sangineto, they were brought up hearing famous artists such as Derek Bell of the Chieftains, and Breton harpist and singer Alan Stivel. With guitarist Jacopo, the wide ranging musical experiences of the individual members converge, creating fresh and new arrangements of traditional Irish, Scotish, Breton, Italian, and original compositions that display influences from varied musical genres ranging from classical to folk, Gregorian chant to musicals, from pop to Celtic music. Carnegie Hall’s head artistic director called them “a unique ensemble indeed,”and the band was recently chosen to be official international showcase performers at the 2024 Folk Alliance International Conference.

mamalama

Elizabeth Clark (mamalama) is a Hudson Valley NY based composer, multi-instrumentalist (harp/voice/piano), performance artist, and humanitarian. Exploring interdisciplinary art forms in live performance, she weaves together elements of ethereal future-folk, early/sacred and world music, contemporary minimalism, ecstatic poetry, mythology, contemplative practice, and the healing arts.
An artist-in-residence at Byrdcliffe 2018-2022, she composed her first large-scale experimental theater piece, 'Seeds Under Nuclear Winter: An Earth Opera'. Performed with a cast of 33 Hudson Valley artists and musicians inside of the earth in an old cement mine, the 'Earth Opera' is an immersive experience that recreates dreams and spiritual visions through live performance art, music, dance, and experiments with light. She performs throughout the Northeast with various incarnations of her ever-evolving ensemble, 'Mamalama'. . Her healing work and original musical piece, "Freide's Opera", written in collaboration with Holocaust survivor Freide Gorowitz, was featured in the 2022 PBS documentary "We Remember: Songs of Survivors". www.mamalamamusic.com
