Please note: this course is offered as a three part series with individual sessions taking place on April 26, May 3, and May 10, 10 - 11 a.m., respectively. It is recommended that participants engage in all three sessions.
You only need to purchase ONE ticket per person for the entire series!
For a busy nonprofit professional, effectively managing volunteers can seem challenging - even daunting. These three sessions - with some work on your own in between - will cover the basics for creating a volunteer program or bringing new vitality to an existing one. Join in lively and interactive discussion with colleagues - some new to the profession and others with valuable experiences to share – and leave with ideas you can put into action right away.
The week prior to each one-hour Zoom meeting, you will receive a link to three twelve-minute videos to watch on your own schedule, as well as handouts you may print or have available on another device when we meet for the live session. You can do the preparation whenever it works for you (it will take approximately 90 minutes to complete), but please plan to attend the live session to discuss your ideas and insights with fellow participants.
Thanks to generous funding from United Way of King County, the entire three part series is available to organizations serving King County Washington for $15, and to members of the larger community for $45. If this fee is a barrier for you, please contact Jan@501Commons.org.
