The San Francisco Department of the Environment invites you to the Bay Area Energy Storage Fire Safety and Code Symposium on November 8th, 2017 where we will explore technology benefits and policy drivers that could deploy thousands of energy storage projects in the next several years. A panel of energy storage industry experts will discuss technology basics, current and future applications and market projections. You will also hear from fire protection and code experts on important, forthcoming 2019 standards for energy storage fire safety, the <A HREF="http://www.nfpa.org/codes-and-standards/all-codes-and-standards/list-of-codes-and-standards/detail?code=855" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NFPA 855</A>, as well as a wealth of product safety standards that address concerns about the installation of energy storage systems in buildings. AB 546, a new bill signed by Governor Brown that aims to streamline permitting processes for energy storage, will also be discussed.
