Join our panel on endometriosis care disparities featuring Julia Mandeville, a Social/Behavioral Science Researcher and endometriosis patient; Shravani Bheema, a Data Science and Health Policy Specialist and endometriosis patient; and Kimether Shari, a Family Nurse Practitioner focusing on low-income and underinsured patients. They will discuss race, gender, socioeconomic, and access disparities in endometriosis care.

Informative breakout session on reviewing current medical, surgical, and non-surgical options for endometriosis care. Dr. Kenneth Barron will present in-person for adults, covering the latest advancements and treatments. Simultaneously, Dr. Jose Eugenio-Colon will lead a virtual session tailored for youth, offering insights into age-appropriate endometriosis care. This session provides valuable information for both adults and young patients, ensuring everyone has access to the best possible care options.

Comprehensive Approaches to Endometriosis

Join our breakout session where Kianna Scott will address pharmaceutical dilemmas with adults. She will be focusing on incentivized care and unethical prescribing practices as well as how poor socioeconomic groups may not have access to both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical options. Lesley Boadu and Kharma Hall will cover safe birth control and pain medication practices for youth. This session aims to provide comprehensive insights into safe pharmaceutical decisions for both adults and young patients.

Navigating Pharmaceutical Choices for Adults and Youth

Join us for an insightful panel discussion on the latest advancements in endometriosis research featuring leading experts in the field. Dr. Nina Stachenfeld, a renowned researcher from Yale School of Medicine, will share her work on the impact of reproductive hormones on the vascular system. Dr. Christine N. Metz, a Professor at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, will discuss her research on dysfunctional inflammatory responses and her role as Co-Director of the ROSE study. Moderated by Lauren Kornegay, founder of Endo Black, Inc., this panel will highlight significant findings and future directions in endometriosis treatment and care. More to come.

Join us for an enlightening speaker panel discussing the impactful documentary Below the Belt, featuring Shannon Cohn, a renowned filmmaker, lawyer, and social movement builder. She is joined by Lauren Kornegay, founder of EndoBlack, which provides a powerful platform for Black persons with endometriosis, and Les Henderson, founder of EndoQueer, who advocates for the intersection of endometriosis and LGBTQAI+ issues. Together, these speakers will explore the challenges and triumphs depicted in Below the Belt, examining broader implications for gender and race equity and inclusion, and highlighting the importance of community-driven initiatives in combating stigma and taboo.
