The N.C. Environmental Stewardship Initiative has developed Environmental Management System guidance materials modeled on ISO 14001:2015 as a benefit to its members. To assist in meeting program criteria, seven one-day classroom modules were created to provide training on core EMS elements. All the modules will be held at the DEQ HQ building in Raleigh and are offered at no cost.

Training will provide participants with hands-on exercises and in-depth discussion on specific EMS design elements. ESI staff, along with other experienced environmental professionals, will conduct the EMS training.

Who should attend?
· ESI members developing an EMS
· ESI Members with new personnel involved with EMS design/implementation/maintenance

Module 3: Operational Control and Monitoring and Measurement: September 26, 2018 10 am - 4 pm

Organized by

DEQ's Environmental Stewardship Initiative is designed to promote and encourage superior environmental performance by North Carolina's regulated community. This voluntary program is available at no cost to our members. It provides technical assistance and networking opportunities to stimulate the development and implementation of programs that use pollution prevention and innovative approaches to meet and go beyond regulatory requirements. This program seeks to reduce the impact on the environment beyond measures required by any permit or rule, producing a better environment, conserving natural resources and resulting in long-term economic benefits.
