About this event

Empowered Relief® is a single-session (2-hour) class that equips patients with greater chronic pain knowledge and effective pain relief skills. Empowered Relief was developed by Beth Darnall in 2013 at the Stanford University School of Medicine and has been shown in multiple studies to decrease chronic pain in those who complete the course and implement its teachings.

In the Reproductive Psychology Program this class is held via Zoom the second Wednesday of each month from 6pm-8pm by certified instructor Caryn Lindsey, LCSW, PMH-C.

This class is intended for those with Endometriosis and other related diagnoses responsible for chronic pain.

We encourage you to bring a friend or family member with you!

Having a chronic illness made me feel like my body was out of my control. The Empowered Relief class taught me how to change my perspective and reassert some control in my life.

The Empowered Relief class showed me that my pelvic pain didn’t have to control my entire life.

The Empowered Relief class taught me how to think about pain in a different way and provided tools to change my perspective on my chronic pain.

The Empowered Relief class gave me options to help control my pain and resume activities I thought I would never be able to participate in again.

In taking the Empowered Relief class, I learned to recognize my pain triggers and develop a plan to execute when the pain took over. This allowed me to live without constantly worrying that pain would disrupt whatever I was doing.
