What is a drum circle?

From ancient times, cultures around the world have used drumming, singing, dancing and speaking from the heart as part of sacred healing and Divine worship. The drum is the heart. From the womb, we have heard the rhythm of our mothers' heartbeats. Everything is rhythm because everything is energy.

What to bring?

Chairs are available, as well as several drums. If you have a drum (or more), please bring it. Please dress comfortably and bring water (and your own snack, if needed). Indoor location w/back patio and yard.

Are children allowed?

This particular kind of circle are for 18 and up as sensitive material may come up during self-expression. Older, mature teens may come if accompanied by at least 1 parent. There is a public park across the street for children and their attending adult(s).

Is this only for women or military?

No! This is not just for women. (In Em's experience, men are just as open to spiritual and holistic experiences.) Open to military veterans AND non-veterans.

Is this some kind of religion?

This is a SIBS (secular-inclusive-based-spiritual) event. All faiths and none are welcome.
