Helping children to overcome fears and worries about school - A workshop for parents living in Waltham Forest.

Does your child experience anxiety or low mood which affects their attendance at school? About 1 in 10 children feel distressed or anxious about attending school. This can affect their attendance and enjoyment of education and social activities.

Don't miss this free interactive workshop led by a Systemic Family Practitioner to explore:

  • Why children struggle to attend school?
  • How to support children's emotions
  • Tips for overcoming anxiety about school
  • How to support yourself and connect with school help.

Parents who sign up will be provided with a pre-workshop video to watch. The video will explain common fears and worries that children have about school, and why these emotional challenges can happen.

Our 90-minute in-person workshop will build on the video learning, to explore tools for overcoming fears and worries about school. Together, we will create an action plan to support you in helping your child feel confident about going to school.
