Through the art forms of burlesque, drag, dance and spoken word, this talented cast of performers will offer up their deepest vulnerabilities, finding catharsis through their art.So often, the world of burlesque and drag is focused on offering up a glittery, shining façade. But what happens when you go beneath that façade? EMOTION aims to explore this, and give performers a safe space to showcase their most personal acts. There will be darkness, but there will also be light. This show aims to take you on a journey of the emotional spectrum, touching on many subjects.This is not your usual glitzy show. This is a platform for performers to showcase their most poignant works of art. There are no expectations. Please note, many of the acts in this show deal with sensitive subjects, and as such we would like to provide trigger warnings for the following: sexual assault, anxiety disorder, suicide, death, and eating disorders. We believe it is important that these acts have a platform, but it's also important that our audiences are prepared for the subject matter.
