Activity Description/Objective:

Without self-aware employees, high-performing teams, and a positive culture, your organization will experience challenges in communication, collaboration, productivity, and employee retention. Through the Meeting of the Minds, employees are empowered to use their strengths to achieve their potential and organizations are given the tools to maximize performance and create positive cultures.

Participants will take part in a series of activities designed to ensure retention and application in the workplace and will:

  • Explore the science and seven attributes of the Emergenetics Profile.
  • Discover their personal thinking and behavioral preferences.
  • Find new ways to interact and collaborate with others.
  • Uncover a common language that unifies teams and company culture.

EACH PARTICIPANT MUST COMPLETE AN EMERGENETICS PROFILE QUESTIONNAIRE PRIOR TO THE IN-PERSON COURSE.

Dr. Paula Kensler (email: pkensl@lsuhsc.edu or phone: 504-568-4184) will contact all registrants regarding completion of their profiles. Dr. Kensler can be contacted for more information.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Evaluate your thinking and behaving preferences through experiential learning.
  2. Examine how your preferred behavioral attributes affect others' perception of your preferred thinking attributes.
  3. Discover how appreciating your strengths and those of others supports a positive culture and optimizes team performance.
  4. Explore how to inspire people and organizations to thrive by offering a simpler, easier way to understand each other and build relationships that drive performance.
  5. Evaluate how the WeTeam approach can improve the quality and efficiency of team work.

Participants will earn 4.5 contact hours of nursing continuing professional development.
