What should I expect as to the gathering sessions?

Our 3-day conference will begin with an ultrasound and procedural workshop. Participants will have hands-on ultrasound training. The two days of the gathering will be dedicated to improving emergency care delivered to Indigenous and rural communities through education, advocacy, & collaboration.

The Emergency Medicine with Rural and Indigenous Communities Gathering begins on April 16, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. and ends on April 18, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.

Online registration for the Gathering will be accepted through Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Onsite registration is not available at the Gathering.

Do you offer any scholarships or financial aid for registration costs?

Yes, we do. We had a number of scholarships available which has closed January 31st, 2024.

What is the refund policy?

· Before April 1, 2024, you may cancel to receive a 100% refund.

· After April 1, 2024, and before April 9, 2023, you may cancel to receive a 75% refund.

· After April 16, 2023, you may cancel, but a refund will not be provided. · If you need to cancel, please send an email to echo@npaihb.org

What does the Gathering cost?

The cost is $535.38 for physicians (MDs, DOs), and $268.61 for all other participants (including Residents and Fellows) for the full gathering days of April 17th and April 18th. The cost for the skills class taking place April 16th is $268.61 for physicians, and $108.55 for all other participants.

The cost is $$268.61 for physicians (MDs, DOs), and $135.23 for all other participants (including Residents and Fellows) to join the full gathering virtually for the days of April 17th and April 18th. There is no virtual option to join the skills class taking place April 16th.

Please, make your hotel reservation as early as possible. The lodging “cutoff” date is March 18, 2024 for the host hotel.

Guest room check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 12:00 noon.

Early arrival and late check-out times can be arranged upon request and based on availability. If you check-out before the start of the last day of the Gathering, the concierge/bellhop desk can store your luggage.

Casual business attire, including culturally-specific attire, is encouraged for the Gathering. The temperature can be difficult to regulate in meeting rooms, so consider bringing a sweater or light jacket.
