An event to collaboratively work through a transcript for useable teaching examples for ethnomethodology and conversation analysis courses

This event is designed for both established EM and CA teachers who are looking to move away from &#x27;legacy data&#x27; and lessen the centrality of white participants and culture in their teaching material and likewise for practitioners new to teaching EM and CA to come away with useable teaching materials and some methods for developing more.After introductions and backgrounds we will work together to arrive at a list of needed or useful concepts to identify in the transcript we will be working with. Then in small groups or together we will work through identifying instances of phenomena that are clear enough for our teaching We will be using audio recorded material provided by Francesca Williamson from the Indiana School of medicine of a Women of color in STEM peer-support workshop.
