Embracing Another Normal: Resilience Stories and Strategies for Raising Children with Disabilities combines reflections, research, and insightful storytelling to support parents, educators, and others entrenched in the complex world of raising children with disabilities. It integrates the deep expertise of Kris Burbank, thought leader and parenting coach, and the wisdom and insights of Dr. Linda Hoopes, award-winning author and researcher on personal resilience. The authors provide a framework for navigating six fundamental challenges of raising children with disabilities and connect successful strategies to the key building blocks of resilience. They share intimate examples of how to thrive, not just survive, the special needs parenting journey and offer encouragement and guidance that readers can easily incorporate into daily life.

A Q&A session will follow the talk.
