About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join Beth and Meg (Moving with Meg) on Thursday 15th May, 7-9 pm for an evening of Yoga and Sound Therapy. We are meeting at St Pauls Community centre based in Penarth. The session will consist of 45 minutes of yoga (suitable for all levels) and 45 minutes of Sound Bathing.

We will start the evening with a chat and explanation of what the evening entails, followed by an optional Angel card pull to reveal a personal message for you.

Meg will guide us through Embodied Yin;

Our movement practice will be embodied yin centred around QI - Our lifeforce energy.Qi is about flow. It animates our bodies which allows movement to breath, blood, organs and flow in our everyday life. In our embodied yin practice we will be tuning into our bodies, sensing Qi, guided through restorative postures with invited movement inbetween. Plenty of Rest will be invited along with curiousity.

How might we meet ourselves in practice? How might we sense inwards?

How might we move through and welcome rest into body before receiving sound?

Props will be available for this practice. Get in touch with any injuries. After this practice we will settle down and relax into sound therapy helf by Beth.

Sound therapy has been proven to place those attending into a meditative and relaxed state whilst you enter theta brainwave. Give yourself permission to let go and observe your needs and how you feel in that moment. The sound bath will consist of Tibetan and crystal bowls, tingsha, chimes, gongs and a rainstick.

Here are some benefits to Sound Therapy;

• Better sleep

• Reduced anxiety and depression

• Reduced tension

• Lowers stress
