Embodied Code

Embodied Code is a workshop to learn the basics of programming through art, movement & games. Together, we'll stage and improvise solutions to common coding problems. Then we'll connect the dots by looking at how these problems are solved in actual code.
You will learn about functions, data-structures, iteration, recursion and more in a fun and playful way. This takes you long way towards understanding anything related to code, from excel spreadsheets to coding with any of the popular programming languages such as JavaScript and Python.
Who this is for
If you like improv, dance or simply to express yourself through movement and are curious about code, this workshop is for you! There will be a computer and we'll look at some code but will not be coding directly.
What to bring
- comfortable clothes to move - water bottle - colorful socks (optional)

About Me (organizer)
My name is Dennis. I love coding now but 5 years back, when I was a beginner, it was so difficult that I almost gave up. Embodied Code is how I wished I had been introduced to code. Hopefully it will make many of you smile and get as excited about code as I am now!
