<h2>The <a href="https://heurichhouse.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Heurich House Museum</a> and <a href="https://www.blackbrewmovement.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Black Brew Movement</a> present a special DC Emancipation Day Mini Markt on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 2-6pm in the museum’s biergarten, <a href="https://heurichhouse.org/pages/1921-a-biergarten" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">1921</a>. </h2><h3>In support of DC Statehood and a more emancipated District, shop from 5 Black owned local small artisan maker businesses while enjoying brews from 8 Black owned local beer brands in the Black Beer Garden. In DC, Emancipation still does not equal representation in the federal government after over 160 years. </h3>The Black Beer Garden hosted by Black Brew Movement will feature tasting flights, which will require tickets purchased. Purchase tickets through Eventbrite or on site. A la carte full pours will be available for purchase at the biergarten bar. Beers featured are from <a href="https://www.blackbeautybrewery.net/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Black Beauty Brewery</a>, <a href="https://blackvikingbrewing.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Black Viking Brewing</a>, <a href="https://www.joyhoundbeercompany.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Joyhound Beer Company</a>, <a href="https://www.libcobeer.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Liquid Intrusion Brewing Company</a>, <a href="https://www.patuxentbrewing.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Patuxent Brewing Company</a>, <a href="https://www.sankofabeer.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sankofa Beer Company</a>, <a href="https://soulmega.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Soul Mega</a>, and <a href="https://www.urbangardenbrewing.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Urban Garden Brewing</a>.A full list of makers will be announced soon. Black Brew Movement aims to connect Black-American culture with craft beer through educational events, industry consultation, and social media marketing. 
The Heurich House Museum honestly explores the American experience through the legacy of German immigrant Christian Heurich and his Washington, DC brewery, and creates an equitable path to success for local small-scale manufacturers.
