Email communication - in an academic context - is one of the main ways that students have to ask questions of faculty, inquire about internship and research opportunities, advocate for support or advice from staff, and reach out in general. In this 75-minute Zoom workshop (with optional consultations to follow), two NU communication specialists share communication concepts and strategies that will help students improve the effectiveness of their email messaging with purpose, appropriate tone, and audience awareness. Real-world scenarios will be addressed to insure relevance and provide students with models.
