In honor of National Historic Preservation Month, join the Elmhurst History Museum and Elmhurst Historic Preservation Commission for a guided walking tour to explore the rich architectural heritage of our community. Participants will begin at the Elmhurst History Museum and tour the neighborhood, visiting quintessential Elmhurst destinations, including McCormick House, which was designed in 1952 by internationally renowned architect Mies van der Rohe, Wilder Mansion and the neighboring Wilder Park Conservatory, “Old Main,” which was originally constructed in 1878 and is now home to Elmhurst University, and more.
Tours will last approximately 1.5 hours and cover roughly 2 miles. Advance registration is required. Tours will run rain or shine.
