Elka and The Beast
A Shadow Puppetry Vignette by Twisted Heart Puppetworks

Step into the shadows with Elka and The Beast, a whimsical 15-minute shadow puppetry performance that catches the imagination and tickles the funny bone. Brought to life with hand-cut shadow puppets and a bilingual script in English and German, this original tale offers a mischievous twist on classic Krampus mythology — perfect for families and folklore fans alike!

🖤 Crafted by the darkly delightful mind of Tania Yager of Twisted Heart Puppetworks, this shadow vignette explores what happens when one grumpy girl, Elka, ignores her mother's stern warnings on St. Nicholas Eve. With audio mastering by Chuck Yager and lyrical German translation by Pia Thrasher, the show delivers rich storytelling in light and shadow.
