Each year, as a part ofCity Awake, theGreater Boston Chamber of Commerce's young professional network, we host the annualFierce Urgency of Nowfestival in partnership with organizations throughout the Greater Boston region. The festival draws thousands of attendees across five days with over 35 events highlighting the challenges and experience of young professionals of color.F.U.N. encourages our  community to share what steps their company or industry is taking to improve the experience of young professionals of color in Greater Boston. Through our programming we also continue to highlight Boston’s diverse neighborhoods, voices, organizations, and perspectives through social, cultural, civic, and community events.

Marketing can be a powerful force for closing the gap - and underheard audiences must be part of the process from research through launch.

ThinkArgus, Boston&#x27;s largest minority-owned, woman-led marketing agency, is focused entirely on clients who are &quot;closing the gap.&quot; Our experts will lead a conversation focused on the importance of underheard voices in marketing- from research to campaigns. Our discussion will involve marketing and creative experts who will chat about how to make sure advertising campaigns and brands can reflect the audiences they are designed to target, and the importance of bringing audiences into the process from the beginning. Organized by City Awake, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s young professional platform, this is the ultimate festival to build connections, advance careers, and ignite positive change. This festival is inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s. speech at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom where he described “the fierce urgency of now” — the pressing need for immediate action and lasting change in the face of racial injustice. Today and every day, we are answering this call to action to forge a more equitable, inclusive future for Greater Boston.
