Come experience a work that changed music forever. Arnold Schoenberg’s pivotal "Chamber Symphony No. 1" was one of the first to blur the line between tonality and atonality. It also transformed the concept of the chamber orchestra, proving that a rich symphonic sound could be produced by only 15 instrumentalists.

Elevate is pairing Schoenberg’s "Chamber Symphony No. 1" with several other musical firsts, including "Sinfonietta", a newly commissioned piece from composer-in-residence Julie Barwick, and the winning selection from our second annual call for scores, "Tongue and Groove" by David Lipten.
