In Pennsylvania many electronics are illegal to dispose of in a landfill and it is the consumers responsibility to recycle them. The Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority (NTSWA) was able to work in conjunction with PA Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) to set up a permitted recycling collection program at their Burlington and Blossburg facilities. Materials accepted through the collection are sorted and prepared for shipment to a PA DEP certified recycler that upholds the highest certification standards possible.
Fees apply for the recycling of these devices because it is extremely costly and labor intensive to properly process and recycle electronics. ONLY CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Per PA DEP requirements, those wishing to utilize the collection must pre-register. Those not pre-registered will be turned away. This event will also follow state, local and PA Department of Health guidelines. COVID-19 safety measures will be in place.
