Learn the basic building blocks for understanding electronics with retired Electrical Engineer Jim G.

This 1½ hour class will provide the basic building blocks for understanding electronics. After this class you will have the confidence to add circuitry to your maker project, aid you browsing the internet for more knowledge, and/or aid you in understanding the next higher level leading to a hobby or career. Main subjects are: basic electricity, electromagnetism, electronic components, and circuit design up to and including basic computer circuitry.Ticket sales end 24 hours before the class. Prerequisites: No prior electricity or electronics knowledge required. Simple math ability (multiplication &amp; division) required. Bring WiFi able computer if you have one. Age range: 14 and up. Exceptions maybe allowed after consultation. Some instructors offer scholarship discounts and volunteers may be eligible for training discounts.Cancellations: All classes have a minimum number of participants. If the instructor specified number is not reached 24hrs before the class is scheduled to start, the class will be cancelled and any registrations refunded (Eventbrite fees are non refundable).Refund policy: You may request a refund from Eventbrite no later than 24hrs before the class starts (Eventbrite fees are non refundable).
