ELDT - Entry Level Driver's Training - WFA
This course covers training requirements for entry-level emergency vehicle drivers.
THIS COURSE IS OPEN FOR REGISTRATION TO CURRENTLY ROSTERED FIREFIGHTERS WITHIN THE STATE OF WYOMING ONLY
Dates: June 5-7, 2026
Location: Wyoming Fire Academy, 2500 Academy Court, Riverton, WY 82501
Times:
- Friday, June 5th - 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Saturday, June 6th - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Sunday, June 7th - 8:00 AM to Conclusion

Course Description: Entry Level Drivers Training (ELDT) guidelines, set the standard for training requirements for entry-level emergency vehicle drivers. This curriculum encompasses safe operation of emergency vehicles, legal aspects for the driver, vehicle dynamics and pre-trip inspections. Students will gain knowledge associated with emergency vehicle operations and skill necessary for the practical application. The course is designed to summarize the minimum Federal Criteria set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association (FCMSA) to achieve a Wyoming Class-B Commercial Driver’s License.
Note: Students will need to have a current and valid Wyoming driver's license.
