  • 3 hours synchronously in Zoom, Clark-facilitated, plus post-work

Course Description: ABOUT THIS WORSHOP

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) provides a framework or set of principles to guide curriculum development with flexible approaches to maximize student learning with instructional materials and assessments. This Zoom workshop is designed to familiarize yourself with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and to develop a plan for incorporating them into one of your courses.

By completing this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Define and describe UDL principles.
  • Recognize and apply the three brain-based learning networks of recognition (what), affective (why), and strategic (how).
  • Describe ways to address the three UDL principles of represent, engagement, expression in a least one course
  • Review the CAST media through jigsaw.
  • Create an implementation plan in one of your courses.
