You're invited to the second edition of El Bembé – A gathering of friends to celebrate Places of Power: Villa Africana Colobó Garden presented by 2022 Philadelphia Latino Film Festival!On Saturday, June 4th from 3PM–7PM, come to the garden to explore community-created augmented reality / virtual reality installations and performances by @elhijodeboriken and @ellaberintodelcoco ! Lead Artists, Iris Brown of Grupo Motivos/ Norris Square Neighborhood Project and Anula Shetty and Michael Kuetemeyer of Termite TV Collective have been facilitating workshops with long term residents to share the memories and stories of this Latinx neighborhood in Norris Square.PhillyCAM will live stream the event, so if you can't make it in-person, you can catch up with folks at Bembé via Facebook Live. This event is free and open to the public -- come out and celebrate with us! Light fare will be provided by @amys_pastelillos &amp; Doña Iris Brown and family.Places of Power is a project of @termitetvcollective &amp; Norris Square Neighborhood Project @myneighborhoodproject – for more information about the work, visit TERMITE.ORG/COLOBOCollaborating partners Philadelphia Latino Film Festival, PhillyCAM and Scribe Video Center.
