Educator's Night

We're Louisville's oldest indie bookstore. We opened on Bardstown Road in 1978 and Frankfort Avenue in 1999. Carmichael's is a family business in the best tradition. As the business grew, so did the number of family members involved, and the staff now includes a second generation. Visit us often for cool stuff about books, writers and upcoming events.

We will discuss how to place orders with our school office and receive your discount, how to join our Educator's list to be notified when we have items to give away, and how you can use us as a resource for your curriculum needs. You will also get a sneak peek of our most anticipated forthcoming titles. After a brief presentation, you will have a chance to network with other educators as you browse books, posters, and other goodies to take back to your classroom, free of charge.Space is limited.
