Ed's Beef & Beer
Sat, March 25, 2017, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM EDT
Ed was diagnosed in August 2013 with stage 3 rectal cancer and stage 1 kidney cancer. He had partial kidney removal and wore colostomy bag for over a year. Finally in 2015, Ed was able to go back to work full-time.
In September 2016, Ed went for genetics testing to see if he carried the "cancer gene" and it came back a strong positive. At that time, he had testing and found out he had a 6 CM TUMOR on his lung....STAGE 4 CANCER...MESTATIC CANCER!
He is receiving chemotherapy every other week and has the chemo ball for 2 days. It's been really tough on him. The chemotherapy is destroying him. Every day, he is in pain and refuses to accept the whole cancer story. His spirits are low but we are working on trying to get him more active in things he likes to do.
His last treatment will be a week before this benefit pending the results of his PET scan for cancer. They need to ensure the chemotherapy is working. His CEA levels are rising.
Please keep him in your prayers.
This benefit is perfect for him. It will show that the whole community and friends care about him and reassures him that he is not fighting alone.
Jeff Krick is a wonderful Elvis Tribute Artist. He will melt your heart and soul. When I saw Jeff perform, I knew this would be the perfect boost to get Ed up and back to himself.
Please, mark your calendar and grab a tables worth of tickets. This is one of the greatest performances you will ever see in this area.
We are all grateful to each and every one of our family, friends and neighbors. We look forward to sharing the evening with you. There will be a wine pull and tons of raffle baskets, 50/50 and cancer sucks t-shirts available at the benefit. There also will be cancer ribbons available in vinyl.
