Description

DCAM™ is the documentation of the capabilities and best practices required to establish a sustainable data management program. The model was created based on the collective experience of data practitioners across the global financial information industry. It focuses on the practical capabilities needed to ensure trust and confidence in data content as a factor of input into business processes. This foundation training will encompass the 8 componants of DCAM, scoring methoology and an accreditation test.

Foundations training provides participants with a comprehensive overview of the core concepts associated with sustainable data management. It focuses on the best practice capabilities required to successfully establish a data management program within your organization. The two day interactive session covers the underlying philosophy of DCAM, an understanding of the scoring methodology, how to apply the model based on real-world examples and how the various segments relate to one another. The Foundations training class is designed to support the practical application of DCAM and to position data management as part of your organization¹s long-term culture of operations.

DCAM Foundations training will be co-led by John Bottega (author of DCAM and the financial industry's first Chief Data Officer) and Michael Atkin (Managing Director of the EDM Council).
