Join Rhode Island Master Gardener and trained clinical herbalist, Maggie Hatzpanian, for a hands-on workshop that explores traditional practices to contemporary applications of medicinal plants. Enjoy wandering through the blossoming gardens at the Norman Bird Sanctuary and identify some important native plants that are valuable to human well-being. Tea recipes will be shared and some edible plants may be tasted.
Venue Guidelines
The Norman Bird Sanctuary is a nonprofit wildlife sanctuary and environmental education center. All proceeds directly support our mission to protect our 300-acre refuge for the benefit of wildlife and the community to enjoy.
All guests are asked to respect the following guidelines:
• Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited.
• Outside beverages and seating are not permitted.
• Dogs and other pets are not allowed. Service animals are permitted.
Norman Bird Sanctuary events are fundraisers in support of our mission to engage a community of stewards to preserve, protect and enjoy this 300-acre property and the ecosystems within and beyond its stone walls. Through conservation, historic preservation, education and exploration, we foster lifelong connections between people and the Sanctuary’s rich and diverse habitats.
