Please welcome WQED Education and PBS EdCamp to our EdCampPGH event!
What makes edcampPGH an unconference? Unlike traditional conferences scheduled months in advance by the people running the conference, participants at edcampPGH create the agenda during the event!
Edcamps are participatory. They depend on discussions and hands-on sessions. Sponsors don’t have their own special sessions or tables. All of the space and time are reserved for the things people want to talk about. 
Built on principles of connected learning, edcampPGH strives to bring teachers together to talk about the things that matter most to them: their interests, passions, and experience. Teachers who attend edcampPGH can choose to lead their own sessions on things that matter, with an expectation that the people in the room will work together to build understanding by sharing their own knowledge and questions. Sessions are facilitated by anyone. Participants with experience are encouraged to speak up during sessions. Open dialogue and a willingness to share, not planned presentations, drive the learning at edcamps.
Rule of Two Feet The "rule of two feet" empowers participants to find sessions that best meet their needs. If a session isn't working for them, they are encouraged to find one that is!
Beyond professional learning, prizes are sponsored by educational companies and vendors. 75 t-shirts will be available through the help of a grant from the Beaver County Educational Trust. Again, these prizes are at no expense to participants! Food (light breakfast and lunch) will be provided.
Act 48 Credits will be offered. WQED Education will be our keynote speaker!
