Ecstatic Dance Oahu invites you to join us on a journey where movement is medicine, the music is the guide, and together, we raise the collective energy of the Earth.

🌀WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?

Ecstatic Dance is a free-form dance event with no rules and a lot of heart.

The music guides the journey, carrying you through waves of rhythm, release, and expression. The event follows an arc: beginning in stillness, music building to a thumping, heart opening crescendo, then winding down and returning to spaciousness with a soothing sound bath. This is a moving meditation practice. Move however your body wants — no choreography, no experience needed — just a welcoming, judgment-free space to dance, sweat, and explore.

🌀GUIDELINES

• No vocal conversations on the dance floor (keeps focus on movement)
• No food, drinks, or bottles on the floor
• No alcohol, smoking, or drugs
• No photos or videos
• Respect yourself and others
• Dance however you wish
• If you’d rather not dance with someone, kindly place hands in prayer at your heart

🌀WHAT TO BRING:

• Loose-fitting, comfortable clothes
• Water for hydration
• Positive attitude and mutual respect
• Yoga mat for more comfort during the sound journey (optional)

🌀EVENT SCHEDULE

• 10:00 Warm-up with one of our guest movement guides
• 10:30 Dance freely to a live DJ'd Ecstatic Dance Set (DJs rotate)
• 12:00 Soothing Sound Bath to wind down and return to stillness
• 12:20 Closing Circle to connect and share what's happening in the community
