ABOUT SUBURBANOID
Jim Davis, known as Suburbanoid, is a sound meditation specialist who has been creating healing music for over two decades. His sound meditation journey began over 20 years ago during a meditation course, where he started composing music to guide meditation practice. Jim's 2008 debut meditation album "Lite Roast" was recorded in Ojai and inspired by the town's spiritual energy and Full Moon ceremonies at Meditation Mount. He has traveled extensively, bringing transformative sound experiences to yoga studios, meditation centers, and spiritual communities across the co untry. Currently in his fifth year offering weekly Sunday sound meditations at Meditation Mount, Jim creates immersive experiences using Fusion Sitar, Tibetan singing bowls, guitar with electric bow, Koshi chimes, gong, and other healing instruments. Healing Rhythms DJ Set
Baldemar Guerrero, also known as DJ Turtle, is a Santa Barbara-based DJ, dancer, and musician with a passion for music, movement, and community. He brings a grounded presence to the ecstatic dance scene, creating space for authentic expression and connection. His sets blend earthy, organic beats, Pachamama rhythms, folktronica, and cosmic soundscapes—guiding dancers on a soulful journey of freedom and connection. As a professional DJ, Baldemar is known for his versatility and ability to adapt to diverse audiences and settings.

Fusion Sitar Sound Experience
Jim is an “Unschooled” (unschooling is based on natural learning) self-taught music artist/composer who began at the age of 9. During his high school years, he studied harmony, theory, and composition. Nominated twice by Yamaha showcase as one of the top 20 unsigned artists in America. Performed, recorded and produced a live album with Electronic Ambient music pioneer, Hans Joachim Roedelius of Cluster . HANS-JOACHIM ROEDELIUS is considered a pioneer of electronic/ambient music worldwide. Brian Eno is a fan of Roedelius's work with the band Cluster and pursued a friendship and series of collaborations in the mid-1970s that were foundational to the ambient music genre. Recipient of 2020 Responsive Artworks award from the Santa Barbara Bowl and Arts Commission for his “Virtual World Tour” during the pandemic. Jim’s (Suburbanoid) music is sometimes referred to as soundtrack music, ambient, meditative or sound bath meditation. It has appeared in films, TV, and other video productions.
