EcoWalk: Unique Preserves of Sarasota County - Manasota Scrub

Join us to learn more about our amazing and unique Florida ecosystems. Take a leisurely stroll through some of our most beautiful and environmentally sensitive lands that have been preserved in Sarasota County and learn more about what makes these areas so unique and important, the plants and animals that inhabit them, how to be watershed wise, and the management issues faced when trying to preserve these lands for future generations. Trail surface/conditions: Most of these trails have a sandy or mowed grass surface. Some areas have deep sand and uneven surfaces.

Potential obstacles/barriers/hazards: Trails may experience temporary flooding after rain events. Uneven terrain, roots and stumps are associated with this natural area preserve. To prevent ATV entry, visitors must pass through pedestrian walk throughs to enter the preserve.

Accessibility options available: There are no ADA accessible trails in this preserve; trails are sandy/mowed natural surfaces.
