The Youth Environmental Network of York Region (YENYR) is a non-profit organization focused on providing opportunities and tools to inspire the young people in York Region.Founded in 2007, YENYR has grown and reached out to youth in Markham making a positive, direct impact in our community.We are a council composed entirely of students from around York Region who strive to promote action from the youth in our community, specifically regarding environmental issues.

Ecohacks is a hackathon - a thinktank and competition aimed to encourage youth to solve some of the pressing environmental issues we face today by utilizing computer software in new and innovative manners. Keynote speakers with expertise in the fields of technology and environmental science will aid students in the realization of their ideas.
