EcoFest is our annual, free environmental festival where we come together to take action, reduce waste and celebrate our planet.
Join 47th Ward Alderman Matt Martin for a fun, laid-back day at Welles Park on Saturday, May 30 at 10am!
Spend the day exploring hands-on gardening activities, connecting with local environmental groups, and picking up simple ways to reduce waste and save energy at home.
✨ Craft Workshops (RSVP Required — Reserve Your Spot Here)
This Eventbrite page is your place to sign up for our hands-on craft workshops—new this year and perfect for young artists:
- Turn old bottle caps into colorful fridge magnets (ages 10+)
- Build your own fairy house using recycled materials (ages 6+)
Workshops have limited capacity and are expected to fill up quickly, so be sure to reserve your spot in advance.

- Hard-to-recycle item collection — bring items that can’t go in your regular bin and dispose of them responsibly
- Outdoor exercise class — get moving with a free, all-levels workout in the park, hosted by Free Movement
