We are very excited that you chose our camp! Campers must be 7 - 12 years of age. Camps begin at 8:45am respectively. Camps end at 2:00pm. June camps are non-refundable after May15th; July camps are non-refundable after June 15th.

Camp Activities:

The activities will be based on the theme of the week. Prior to camp start date, you will receive an itinerary that is subject to change.

Monday will be spent at the Manatee Center from 8:45am to 2:00pm with fun and educational activities and a pizza party included. Games, arts and crafts, science experiments/lessons, and nature-related presentations will also be incorporated.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be our travel days on the bus to various locations. Bus travel will take place between 9:00am and 1:00pm. Please have your child at the Manatee Center by 8:45am. Pick up with be at the Manatee Center when the camps end at 2:00pm.

Wednesday will be a drop off and pick up day at Museum Pointe Park, 8:45am to 2:00pm.

Friday will be a drop off and pick up day at Jaycee Park, 8:45am to 2:00pm.

Maps and addresses of each location will be provided with the itinery.

What to Wear & Pack:

Campers should wear sneakers or other closed-toe shoes at all times. We will be outside most of the time, so please dress appropriately. Remember in South Florida it's hot outside! Sunscreen should be applied at home before coming to camp; hats are recommended and a refillable water bottle is required. Please see detailed list that will be e-mailed to you prior to camp.

The Manatee Center will provide snacks as well as water refills every day. Campers must bring their own lunch Tuesday through Friday. If campers have any kind of food allergies, please let us know in advance on our camper medical form.

Supervision and Grouping:

There will be approximately 1 counselor for every 4 campers at all Manatee Center camps. Counselors are responsible teen and adult volunteers who support our staff. All volunteers and paid staff who work with children have undergone a Level 2 Background Check. For some activities, campers may be divided into small groups supervised by a camp counselor. The camp director or another paid staff member will oversee all activities.

Campers who are feeling unwell or running a fever should not be sent to camp.
