ECHO PARK

The BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta, Georgia is a non-profit organization, founded in 2009, that is dedicated to bringing national and worldwide attention to Atlanta as a center for film and film production for people of color.In fact, the mission of the BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta, Georgia is two fold: to promote Atlanta as the new film mecca for people of color; and to showcase films and provide networking opportunities that will develop the next generation of filmmakers.

<P>Starring Nigerian-British actor Anthony Okungbowa, ECHO PARK takes viewers inside a diverse East Los Angeles neighborhood where residents contend with life and love while being challenged to define themselves in spite of their zip code. Sophie (Mamie Gummer) flees from her life of status and security, developing an unexpected romance with Alex (Okungbowa) who is also in search of a new start. Amanda Marsalis' ECHO PARK held its world premiere screening at the 2014 Los Angeles Film Festival and is an official selection of the Ashland Independent Film Festival and Toronto's Female Eye Film Festival. </P>

<P>ARRAY, founded in 2010 by Ava DuVernay as the African-American Film Festival Releasing Movement (AFFRM), is a community-based distribution collective dedicated to the amplification of films by people of color and women filmmakers.</P>
<P>Array’s founding organizations include <SPAN>BronzeLens (Atlanta), </SPAN>Urbanworld (NYC), Imagenation (NYC), DVA (Los Angeles), and Reelblack (Philadelphia).</P>
<P>The collective’s film releases to date include: 2012 Sundance Best Director Award Winner MIDDLE OF NOWHERE; 2011 Sundance World Cinema Audience Award Winner KINYARWANDA, 2011 Sundance Film Festival Official “Next” Selection RESTLESS CITY; Official Slamdance Selections VANISHING PEARLS and BIG WORDS, Jamaican gem BETTER MUS’ COME and 2011 Image Award winner I WILL FOLLOW.</P>
