Frequently asked questions

Will I take home everything I need to grow my own mushrooms at home?

Yes, Kinda. Unfortunately, due to the current laws and regulations, we cannot provide you with any active spores or mycelium. You will make and take home your own monotub, one bag of grain, one bag of substrate, one plate of agar, a small bag of lab supplies, and sterile, protective gear.

how do I get my spores or active mycelium to grow in my monotub?

There are many local, and online services that will provide syringes of either spores or liquid mycelium. We will provide you with a list of reputable dealers, both online and locally. As a disclaimer, any and all references are unaffiliated with this class, instructors and or business entities.

what should I bring to the class?

Please bring a notebook, appropriate clothing to get a little dirty, water bottle, and any snacks or other items you may require.

Will I get any support or resources after the class?

Absolutely! We will give you access to a Google Drive folder containing many PDFs, website, links, and references. I am more than happy to answer any general questions if you come visit the shop. During business hours.

Absolutely! We provide full consulting services from mini to large farm cultivation build outs. We can help you in any capacity and on any scale for a wide variety of Gourmet Mushrooms.

Do you have some sort of plug and play Mushroom Growing service if I want to grow commercially?

Well, yes, in fact we do! We are looking to provide plug-and-play services for a variety of Gourmet Mushrooms including oysters, lions mane, shiitake, maitake, and other various species. Every month you may receive your quantity of fruiting bags which you will grow and harvest.
