Please join your fellow ICU faculty and staff for the Inaugural ECCC 5K Run/Walk! Even if you are not a runner, we hope that you will join us for a celebration of all of your hardwork! We want you to know just how much of a difference you make to patients and families in the ICU--that's why we have invited some former patients and families to share their stories with us! We will also have plenty of food (think Revolution Donuts and King of Pops!), drink and shade so please come enjoy the beautiful weather (fingers crossed) with your work family! We hope to see you there!

9:00-10:15     Run/Walk 5K
10:15-10:30   Awards
10:30-11:30   Special Presentation by Former ICU Patients
11:30-Noon:   Raffle Drawing and just Hanging Out :)

Why do I have to pay?
We are charging a small fee to attend this event because we thought it would be nice to make a donation to the Employee Hardship Fund as well as generate some funds to host this event in the future! The proceeds will be split 50/50. This ticket provides you with access to the race (if desired), FREE food and drink, as well as a FREE T-shirt!
 
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There will be free parking at the Clairmont Campus in the Starvine parking deck. 
 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No as long as you have a copy of your ticket on your phone or Eventbrite app. 
 
Will this race be individually timed (ie: RFID timing)?
No, this is a fun run! There will be a big timer at the end of the race to give you an idea of your individual time. 
 
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes! As long as there is one ticket per person the name does not have to match. 
 
What time should I show up if I'm NOT running?
We recommend showing up at 9:30am if you're not planning to run/walk the 5K.  
 
Can I complete this race with a stroller or wheelchair?
Unfortunately, the majority of this race will take place on unpaved trails so it is not possible to do this race with a stroller or in a wheelchair. 
 
What happens if it rains?
The event will go on rain or shine! We will have tents to sit under so you will be protected from sun and rain!
 
Can I bring my spouse?
Yes! We just ask that they purchase a ticket. 
 
Can I bring my child(ren)?
Yes! Children less than 12 years of age are free; we just need you to request a ticket so we can keep track of how many people to expect. We ask that if you are bringing children 12 years or older that you purchase a ticket for them.
 
Can I bring my dog?
No, pets will not be allowed unless they are a therapy dog. 
 
Can I register the day of the race?
We will not be offering race day registration.
 
What if I can't come but I still want to make a donation?
I'm glad you asked! There is an option to make a donation once you click on the "Tickets" button. It is the last option. Thank you!
 
What if I can't come. Will I get a refund?
Yes, you will receive a full refund as long as you cancel at least 7 days before the race.
