Robin Shapiro&#x27;s Easy Ego State Interventions training is a deep dive into a new way to regard the client in front of you, with many practical interventions that will change how you work with your clients.Participants learn how to see clients through the lens of ego state therapy and EMDR and to distinguish healthy, flexible states from dissociative ones. They learn to clear trauma, work with couples, work with sexual issues with abuse survivors, address shame, pain, personality disorders, and dissociative identity disorder through lecture, practice, and case examples. The training is appropriate for both EMDR and non-EMDR practitioners. By the end of the training you will know how to:<ul><li>Distinguish between Dissociative and other Ego States.</li><li>Perform the 2 hand Interweave</li><li>Use ego state intervention for simple trauma</li><li>Use ego state work in couple&#x27;s therapy</li><li>Address shame with the Jim Knipe Shame Protocol</li><li>Work with Borderline and Narcissistic personality disorders</li><li>Address multiple chemical sensitivity and immune issues with an ego state intervention</li><li>Understand the 3 Polyvagal States</li><li>Understand the 3 stages of work with Dissociative Identity Disorder clients</li><li>Know when it&#x27;s safe to do trauma work with DID clients and when to use EMDR</li><li>Use the Dissociative Table and other methods to organize and contain dissociative parts</li><li>Apply the integration state of DID</li><li>Utilize ego state therapy with suicidal clients</li></ul>Robin Shapiro is a practical, clear, and entertaining speaker, who is responsive to questions and the needs of the participants. She often has participants role-play especially difficult clients, in order to show methods of dealing with dissociative defenses in therapy sessions.Many participants experience personal transformation during the practice sessions.
