Looking for a pocket of time and space for yourself? Trying to keep up and do your best but feeling overwhelmed? Take an evening to take a beat and reconnect with yourself, just as you are.

Easy Does It Evenings is a weekly space to go inward, create and integrate with a small group of others. Facilitated by expressive arts therapists, these evenings can help you to slow down and find your center.

Give to yourself while giving to your community! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Alameda Food Bank.

What to Expect

An evening of guided meditation, art making and optional sharing. Expressive Arts Therapists Yoshiko Powell LMFT and Eileen Van Tyne LMFT, create a light hearted and supportive space where you can tune into your self, connect and integrate.

Each night will include:

~10 minutes to arrive, make tea, get cozy in the space

~15 minutes of guided meditation to get quiet, unwind from the day and connect within

~ 60 minutes of making (ie: drawing/collaging/writing) with prompts to guide you along the way

~ 20 minutes of optional sharing in group or in pairs

~15 minutes wrap up/clean up

Come as you are. No art experience necessary.

This workshop is facilitated by 2 licensed therapists, but the workshops are not therapy, nor a replacement for therapy.

What to Bring

We will provide art supplies and tea.

Feel free to bring a writing or art journal if you'd like.

For the love of all things tiny! Revel in the art of assemblage as we create small worlds in Altoids tins. There will be plenty of items supplied for your use, however if you have small treasures (rocks, shells, beads, figurines, papers, stamps, charms, pictures, etc.) that you love but just haven't found the right use for, bring them! They may have finally found a home!
