Easter Eggstravaganza 

The Evergreens Cemetery was organized in 1849 as a non-sectarian cemetery, under the Rural Cemetery Act of 1847. The cemetery borders Brooklyn and Queens and covers 225 acres of rolling hills and gently sloping meadows. It features several thousand trees and flowering shrubs in a bucolic setting.The Evergreens is the final resting place of more than 532,000 people. The Evergreens Cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Join us for our Easter party to enjoy an egg hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo and refreshments on the beautiful grounds of the Evergreens Cemetery. The Easter Bunny will visit from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m, and the egg hunt will take place at 2:30 p.m. Bring your own baskets. The event is free and open to the public; come enjoy our serene green space at this time of renewal. Parking is available at the cemetery.
