How can my family participate?

Pre-register on Eventbrite before the event, or walk-up to register the day of the event. Help our organizers out by indicating the number of people in each age group from your family participating in the event.

Who is the egg hunt for?

Kids and teens, ages 0-17, including those with special needs! We are running six egg hunts by age groupings throughout the event. If your child or teen has special needs and you prefer extra time and space for their egg hunt, select the egg hunt at 11:45 AM just for them!

What happens if we arrive after my child's age group has completed their egg hunt?

No worries! Latecomers of all age groups can participate in the 11:45 AM egg hunt.

What else is happening at the event?

So much! Festival stations of all kinds will be available for registered families. Families with wristbands can take a photo with the Easter bunny, get their hands painted, create an Easter craft, play with bubbles, compete at lawn games, and more!

Is there a cost to the event?

It's FREE to all participants, thanks to the generosity of many people at Epic Church, Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, and Yerba Buena Gardens Conservancy.

Who are the volunteers?

Epic Church of San Francisco provides almost all of the volunteers for the event! Countless hours go into preparation so your family can make a memory together. Please thank the volunteers at the event and bring your best smile!

Will video or photos be taken at the event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as it's a free and public event, photos and video will be taken at the Easter Egg Hunt 2025 event. When you enter the public space to participate, you consent to be photographed and/or filmed. These images are only for recording and promoting future events for the host organizations.

Question 9

What's the best way to get to Yerba Buena Gardens for the event?

You can take BART or MUNI to arrive at the Yerba Buena Gardens Great Lawn!  Closest BART stations are Powell St. or Montgomery St. Go to sfmta.com to learn the best route for your family. Several parking garages are in the area, including 5th & Mission, Moscone Center, and the SF MOMA garage.
